THE TOTAL VOLUME OF WASTEWATER IN UKRAINE
Ukraine produces about 2-2.5 billion m³/year of municipal and industrial wastewater, of which a significant portion is treated, but still high loads of organic compounds (COD), nitrogen and phosphates enter water bodies. Of these, 1.5 billion cubic meters per year are municipal wastewater and 1 billion cubic meters per year are industrial wastewater. Given that the concentration of pollutants in industrial wastewater is on average 3-4 times higher than in municipal wastewater, the amount of pollution from industry is twice as high as the amount of pollution discharged with municipal wastewater.
Challenges of sewage treatment plants in Ukraine
Worn-out and outdated technologies
- Most buildings are designed without taking into account the removal of nutrients;
- manual or semi-automatic control modes.
Long-term lack of investment
Post-war reconstruction and environmental requirements
- the need for fast and cost-effective solutions;
- focus on clean rivers and reservoirs.
Our approach: reconstruction + automation, new construction
Why reconstruction is more efficient than new construction
use of existing infrastructure
Minimum capital expenditures
Short implementation time
Managing the process, not just the equipment
- transition from manual to adaptive control;
- real-time stability of process conditions.
Focus on measurable results
Quality of treated wastewater
- NH₄, NO₂, NO₃, PO₄ within the standards;
- Confirmation by actual operating data.
- Production of biogas from wastewater from organic contaminants
Energy efficiency
- Potential for reducing energy consumption for aeration of 20-25% using frequency control of blowers

Our vision of the future
Clean rivers and lakes
We are convinced that Ukraine can and should:
- to preserve its water resources;
- restore the ecological balance;
- to pass on a clean environment to future generations.
Technologies that work for the future
We implement solutions that:
- are working today;
- ready to meet the demands of tomorrow;
- are easily integrated into new environmental standards.
How does cooperation begin?
Each wastewater treatment plant has its own characteristics.
We offer an engineering approach from the first contact
We:
- analyze existing structures;
- assess the actual loads;
- determine the potential for reconstruction and automation.
- conduct pilot studies if necessary
Based on analysis:
- We offer solution options;
determine the phasing of implementation; - assess the expected environmental and economic impact.
- design;
- construction and installation works;
- commissioning;
- staff training;
- technical support.
What the customer will get
- a clear technical concept;
- predicted result;
- Reduced operating costs;
Our interest and expertise include the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater using the latest biotechnology. Good results were obtained from the reconstruction of the technological process control system for aeration by a block of aeration tanks with a capacity of up to 200,000 m3/day. By organizing the management of the nitri-denitrification process, the amount of pollution by key indicators, such as nitrogen and phosphate compounds, discharged into the water body has decreased several times. Many enterprises whose wastewater is contaminated with organic substances of medium and high concentrations will benefit from our projects for the treatment of brewery wastewater with a capacity of up to 10,000 m3/day of wastewater and the production of biogas up to 6,000-9,000 thousand m3/day from organic contaminants processed in the reactor. Particularly noteworthy is the innovative technology for removing heavy metal ions from wastewater using the ferrite method, which is an undeniable alternative to existing technologies, where we have developed both the process and the equipment for its implementation. The capacity of the plant is 30 m3/day.
The technological solutions used in our projects have advantages over existing ones, such as reduced capital and operating costs.
